Exciting News at Schooner
1.) The Second Round of The Biggest Loser Challenge has it’s Second Winning Team. Congratulations to the Blue Team. They have lost 1.27% together. Our overall Biggest Loser leader has lost 3.66% on her own.
This month’s prize was The Hamilton Beach 1 Serving Smoothie To Go Maker: Congratulations on that one!

2.) Join us on our next Employee Wellness Challenge – Buddy UP! It will run May 1st – August 31st 2012.
The Buddy Up Challenge is simple. Find a Buddy and work out. Do whatever you like walk, run, step classes, kickboxing, spinning whatever you fancy.
Schooner will host a family fun day at the end of the challenge in September. So make your summer fun and healthy.

Exciting News at Schooner
1.) We are two weeks into the second session of the Biggest Loser Challenge and all of Schooner is routing for our new team members. You can do this! This is the first step to your brand new life!
2.) The Schooner Wellness Committee has added a DVD player and work out videos to the Fitness Room. See the front desk receptionist for the remotes and the videos. As always, the Fitness Room is available to all Schooner employees as long as you are off the clock and you are not taking time away from a resident’s use of the facility.

Exciting News at Schooner
1. The Biggest Loser is in full swing and it’s been a rocky first month for the participants. However, Congratulations to the BLUE TEAM for losing an amazing 2.31% of their overall weight. The prize this month is exercise gear. Well Done. See Christine for your prizes.
2. Welcome to Schooner Giselle Prevost our new Residential Care Activity Coordinator. We hope you are happy here, we’re glad to have you.
3. The annual Safety Fair will be held on Wedesday December 7th in the THR for 10:30 – 3:00.
This is a mandatory training. If you cannot make the training anytime between the hours listed on this day, please see your department manager. Please expect to be at the Fair for up to 1 hour as we will have on-site trainers available for separate trainings within the fair.

Exciting News at Schooner
1. The Employee Appreciation Ceremony was a great success once again. All employees received a year of service pin and a cool new Schooner hoodie sweatshirt. We gave away gift certificates as door prizes as well. See some of the pictures below.
We also crowned the 2011 Employee of the Year. Congratulations to Therese Banks, CRMA.
2. The Biggest Loser is Starting on November 1st. If you havn’t signed up, we can still get you on a team. Call Christine at extension 195. Good Luck to all who entered.
3. This year’s Halloween parade was deemed the “Best Ever” by Schooner residents. Thank you everyone for your participation.

Exciting News at Schooner
1. The American Heart Association’s Central Maine Heart Walk was September 18th. Thank you to everyone who participated we raised over $3,000 this year. Way to go Schooner!!!

3. Schooner Estates Wellness Fair was on September 28th. A huge thank you to the YWCA, St. Mary’s, Healthy Androscoggin, Beltone, Seniors Plus, Jack Desjardins, Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy and CMMC. What a great time. If you missed signing up for our free give-away from the Wellness Commitee, see your supervisor or the Receptionist by October 15th to receive your gift.
4. The Biggest Loser is coming to Schooner Estates. Sign up with Christine and become the biggest loser at Schooner. The Challenge will run from November 1st through January 31st. There will be weekly prizes for the winning team as well as a grand prize for the Biggest Losers at the end.

2. A Huge Thank You to all of the employees who participated in the “Buddy Up” summer challenge. It helped everyone here stay fit and healthy all summer long.
3. Schooner Estates Wellness Fair is on September 28th. Meet us on the front lawn of Schooner from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We will have booths from YWCA, St. Mary’s, Healthy Androscoggin, Beltone, Seniors Plus, and more. We will also have some amazing giveaways, a challenge sign up for the Biggest Loser and a BBQ. Exciting News for All Schooner Employees
1. The summer fitness challenge is underway so “Buddy Up” with a co-worker at Schooner for the summer and walk walk walk. There is a weekly raffle for a Wal-Mart gift card so make sure you sign up weekly if you are participating for you chance to win. If you would like additional information about the challenge contact Christine Lebel.
2. Congratulations to Kim Corliss and her Family. There is a new addition to the Corliss household and her name is Leah Tiffany. Leah weighed 5 lbs. 9 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long upon her arrival on July 10th at 4:23 A.M. How Beautiful is she?
3. Thumbs up to Ravi Sharma. Ravi is the son of Tammy Sharma in Housekeeping and is also the Director of The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department heading up the expansion of the Auburn Ingersoll Arena.
